THE GERMIEST SPOTS IN PUBLIC PLACES LYING IN WAIT.
Bacteria and viruses can survive on hard surfaces for anywhere from a few hours to several days—and sometimes longer when they’re protected by a sheen of hand lotion or residue from a greasy meal.
Watch out for: Coffee-cup lids (skip the lid and pour into your own thermos).
Office coffee pot handles (wash your hands after pouring coffee or wipe the handle before using).
ATM machines (bring a disposable wipe to wipe the keypad/touch pad or clean hands immediately after using the machine).
Supermarket checkout conveyor belts (when you get home, wash your hands before opening cabinets and refrigerator. Wash them again)
